Line 6 have today announced they will soon be releasing an AAX64 bit version of the much missed Echo Farm™ plug in. Line 6 say:
The original Echo Farm™ plug-in was a staple, found in studios throughout the world, and was heard on countless hit records. We’re bringing back the same beloved collection of vintage echo effects with Echo Farm 3.0—now available as a 64-bit AAX Native plug-in for Pro Tools 11 and higher. Choose from 12 models based on* vintage hardware units, including Maestro® Echoplexes, Roland® RE-101 Space Echo®, Boss® DM-2, Electro-Harmonix® Memory Man, T.C. Electronic® 2290 and Line 6 originals. Experience the detailed sonic properties of tubes, tape and vintage electronics—without spending a fortune on bulky outboard gear. We even left the UI completely unchanged, so you can experience the same familiar workflow that you know and love.
Vintage Sounds
Each model in Echo Farm 3.0 is fully programmable and automatable, so you can take total control over the sound and responsiveness of each model. Control tape wow n’ flutter, filter-swept modulation, bit resolution and more. Quickly set the delay time via knob, tap tempo, BPM and note value, or lock to the global tempo of your Pro Tools session and follow any tempo variations. Plus, the defeatable Time Ramp feature delivers smooth tape-style changes in delay time—and comes complete with pitch smear for even more vintage authenticity.
Echo Farm Back By Popular Demand
With Echo Farm 3.0, you can finally open older projects on your current Pro Tools system and bring your favorite echo sounds back to your sessions. Echo Farm 3.0 settings are 100% compatible with previous Pro Tools versions, so you won’t lose any of your previous sounds or settings. With 64-bit AAX Native performance and support for sample rates up to 192 kHz, Echo Farm 3.0 no longer requires DSP hardware and can run on any laptop or desktop CPU.
Echo Farm will be available in February and will cost $199, the upgrade path for TDM owners will be $49.
