In this video review for Pro Tools Expert, Technical Editor, James Ivey takes a look at the new Antelope Audio Goliath HD USB 3, Thunderbolt and Pro Tools HD equipped audio interface.
To say that the Goliath HD is feature packed is not doing the unit any sort of justice. This is about as close to the one and only audio interface any recording engineer, mixer or producer will ever need. It has everything and lots of it.
Once again with the help of Singer-Songwriter Joel Tavares, James records a track using nothing but the Goliath HD, but this time instead of just using the built-in Pro Tools plug-ins James explores using the FPGA hardware effects that come as part of the Goliath package.
James demonstrates how to use the FPGA for mixing by utilising the hardware inserts within Pro Tools.
The current street price of the Antelope Audio Goliath HD interface is around £6200 UK pounds and in my opinion, it would be worth every penny.
