More On Derek Bristow
I'm 40 and a music lover and recording hobbyist in my home studio. I’ve been at this since I was 19, taking some classes at the local community College. The school back then had a Tascam 16 track and bounced down to Otari 2 track ¼ tape so I been at this a long time.
I have been using Pro Tools since version 6. I use Pro Tools to do voice recording and vocals here in my home studio. I also like to create my own hip hop and electronic-based tracks, as well as the occasional heavy metal tune.
I find music and recording technology is endlessly satisfying. I love sound and audio and music and I love talking about it too.
I am currently on Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tool is my preferred DAW for tracking, editing and mixing. Winning the Pro Tools perpetual license will be a major update for me, allowing me access to Pro Tools 64-bit engine and use my computer horsepower to it’s fullest!
