To give your synths or samples a more natural feel, try using an out of sync LFO (set to a low frequency) linked to your Master Release Envelope, making it fluctuate around approx. 30ms which will make each note’s release duration slightly different.
This will emulate the natural feel of an instrument such as a guitar being played where notes tend not to ring out for the exactly same duration every time they are played. This works great on things like programmed hi-hats and snares, as well as things like reverb when you feel that the programmed loops sound a bit robotic and need a slightly more human touch after you have paid attention to the velocity’s of each note and are still not getting that natural feel.
