Here’s a tip for an even cooler utilization of VEP for this type of application ! You can actually do this with a single channel for each send / return rather than needing 2 channels (one for send and one for return) I initially had been using it almost just how you describe here but the sessions were getting messy with all those send and return channels then I realized I could actually use just a single channel for both send AND return. Simply use an instrument track but put VEPro as the 2nd insert with the ‘audio input’ plug in as the first. Assign the input to the channel with the bus for the send and route everything else just as you describe here.
