Here is the second batch from the community tips submitted - all trying to win a stormtrooper iLok…
- Paul Ashmore - Don’t plug your iLok into the USB port at the front of your computer because, as I did, you will kick it and it will snap. Instead, buy a USB card with an internal USB slot and plug your iLok INSIDE your case. Your iLok will never need be on show again. Every iLok user’s problem solved.
- Danilo Faria - Before starting your mix, create two stereo Aux tracks and route all your tracks to these. On the first Aux track, put two 1-band equalizer in a low-pass filter at 250hz, 12db/oct, and in the second Aux track, put two 1-band equalizer in a hi-pass filter at 250hz, 12db/oct. Now we’ve the low and the mid separated in our mix. Just set the pan knob of the low Aux track to the middle (0), and you’ve got all the low in the centre of your stereo image!
- Raphael Sepulveda - When comping together clips, make sure that when you’re done, highlight the entire comp and use Command+F to Batch Crossfade everything by 10ms and make sure there are no pops. Then, use Shift+Option+3 to consolidate the whole thing into just one clip.
More to follow, but one tip of our own. The tip that is likely to win is one no one else has thought of…
