Hi everyone at Pro Tools Expert! I have been following your website and Facebook page religiously now for about a year or two. I love what you guys do and will be a fan more many many years to come! I wanted to finally try to make a useful contribution to the community tips segment of your website.
A couple of weeks back when reading Joseph Lyons tip on learning how to EQ and identify frequencies, I was reminded of some useful programs which I have in my arsenal. One of these is a VST plugin called ‘Tune’ by earPlugins, and the second is a program called Mr.Soundman by V-Plugs.
Both are ear training programs which aim to enhance your frequency detection skills. They boost or cut certain frequencies of a sound and you have to guess which frequencies have been boosted or cut. Both programs are very fun, and more importantly they are both very free!
