The guys at Grimm Audio have let us know about a few product updates in their software range. They have updated their LevelView and LevelOne applications and also added a new product: LevelViewS.
LevelView
The LevelView plugin now automatically follows the DAW’s transport movements. They have added a standalone version of LevelView, that directly monitors sound card inputs. A new feature is the master/slave function that facilitates monitoring of another LevelView via a LAN or WAN network. Using this option, a plugin can be monitored on a separate dedicated meter screen or a central measurement can be checked from several positions, even via the internet. To facilitate this feature, one LevelView license of €350 now offers two installs.
LevelViewS
They have produced a variant of LevelView called LevelViewS which is a application they have designed especially for producers of short program material like commercials. For short programs, you just want a clear view of the most important loudness parameters: the Integrated, Short term and Momentary loudness levels. Like with LevelView, the top of the meters’ arch is the target level, which is easy to track even from the corner of one’s eye. LevelViewS can be bought separately as a price effective plugin at €140, but is included in the main LevelView package as well.
LevelOne
Their batch normalizer LevelOne has also seen an interesting update: it now offers lossless MPEG 1 layer 2 normalization.
LevelNorm
The Avid Pro Tools and Media Composer file normalizer plug-in LevelNorm now features one click normalization in Avid Media Composer. However they have raised the price of LevelNorm a bit to €140 which is the same price as LevelViewS.
