Auto-Align Post From Sound Radix
What Does Sound Radix Say About Auto-Align Post
Auto-Align Post is an AAX AudioSuite plug-in for Avid Pro Tools, designed to automatically correct the delay and comb-filter phase issues occurring when mixing a recording of multiple moving microphones, such as in the case of a shoot set-up using a boom microphone in addition to actor’s lavalier microphone or multiple on-set microphones.
Until now, phase/time aligning multiple moving microphones was a tedious, time-consuming job that often required several ear-twisting days to complete. Not anymore.
Building on the proprietary technology of our ground-breaking Auto-Align plug-in, Sound Radix has developed a next-generation algorithm that makes phase/time correction of a moving multi-microphone recording of an entire film a matter of a few clicks and a short coffee break.
Auto-Align Post Features
Can correct for distances of up to ~112 feet / ~34 meters or a delay of ±100ms
Dynamic mode enables continuous phase/time correction for moving actors or
cameras
Static mode enables fixed phase/time correction for stationary microphones
Transparent, filter-free design
Multi-channel support
Significant algorithm optimization for CPU efficiency and operation speed
Easy to operate - no manual settings required
Pricing And Offers
Auto-Align Post Price $299 MSRP.
To celebrate the release, Auto-Align Post will be available at a special introductory offer of $249 but only until September 30, 2018.

What Do We Think About Auto-Align Post By Sound Radix?
As someone who mixes audio for self-shooters, I often get the sync audio as 2 tracks, the camera mic and a personal lav mic on the talent. My workflow has been to go through the clips and select which one sounds better because I couldn’t use them both because of varying timing differences between them.
Now with Auto-Align Post from Sound Radix, because it can fix the timing differences dynamically throughout a clip, I can now use them both together, and in this free video tutorial, I show you how.
It is so easy to use, select the clip you want to align, open the Auto-Align Post AudioSuite plug-in and choose your reference track and then click on review to take a detailed look at the waveforms with a clever use of colour to show how well in time and phase the 2 clips are. If like me once you get to trust Auto-Align Post, I tend now to just hit the Render button and very quickly without any adjustments get 2 clips that are in time and in phase. All of which means that you can now have the best of both worlds, the round and full sound from the boom with the immediate present sound of the lav always in sync. Job done. - Mike Thornton
Pros:
- Simple to use
- Solves a perennial problem
- Great designed GUI
Cons:
- Where has Auto-Align Post been all my life?
- Shame it has to be an AudioSuite plug-in

What Do We Think About Product UNO Synth Editor By brand IK Multimedia?
IK Multimedia's UNO synth is a great hands-on instrument. The addition of the iOS app editor is a nice (excuse the pun) touch. For production purposes, the plug-in format of the editor is going to be extremely useful for UNO users as they'll be able to store and recall presets quickly as though they were using a soft synth or VI. If you've been considering an UNO synth then now may a good time get one as this additional free editor really does provide some added value and control.
Pros:
- Free, what's not to like about that!
Cons:
- Android not supported yet

Tascam Model 24 A 22-Channel Analogue Mixer With 24-Track Digital Recorder
What Does Tascam Say About The New Model 24 Mixer / Recorder
The Classic, Reborn – The professional hybrid console with the warmth of analogue and the latest modern technology
TASCAM has continuously been providing industry-leading recording solutions such as the TASCAM 38 Open Reel 8-track, the DA-88 Digital 8-track and the legendary Portastudio family of Analog Cassette and Digital Multi-track recorders. Now, TASCAM is reinventing its legacy, one of its classic lineups, infused with the latest audio technology; The brand new, beautiful multi-track live recording console, Model 24.
Whether for your rehearsals, live shows or production, Model 24 is the most ideal true multi-track recorder, mixer, and audio interface. The triple-function hybrid recording console has evolved to perfectly meet today’s music industry demands.
What Do We Think About The Model 24 By Tascam
These guys practically invented home recording and the home recording studio and it's truly great to see Tascam getting back to what they were very very good at, building products that we wanted to use, and kind of already knew how to use.
The new Model 24 was only announced this week and it caught us a little on the hop, I can't say I saw this one coming, but if the build and sound quality along with the feature set implementation are up to par with recent Tascam gear that I have reviewed, the Model 24, with its 22 channels (yes that is a bit odd) and built-in 24 channel recorder is going to be a winner. What band is not going to think, "If we get one of these we can record every rehearsal and live show and make a packet in bootleg sales".
I have already put a request in for a demo unit when the Model 24 hits UK shores. This is going to be like a trip down audio recording memory lane and I can't wait.
Pros:
- All the best bits of an Analogue console and hardware 24 channel recorder in a single unit that can also be your I/O for your DAW.
- Proper 100mm faders.
22 analogue inputs including 16 TASCAM Ultra-HDDA microphone preamps with switchable phantom power (48 V) on 12 mono and 4 stereo channels. Two high-impedance instrument inputs (channels 1 and 2) 20 balanced line inputs (12 mono, 4 stereo) One multi-purpose stereo channel for input from Bluetooth, RCA connectors or stereo mini-jack connector and Inserts on input channels 1 and 2.
Cons:
- No prices available as yet, let us hope it is not priced above the market that it is clearly pitched at.
- Only 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rates at 16 or 24 bit.
