Back in 2016, our friends at FabFilter announced a new reverb plug-in called FabFilter Pro-R. FabFilter released a small teaser video featuring Music Producer Rik Simpson who gave us a small insight into what Pro-R was all about. This video showed Rik trying Pro-R for the first time, he gave us his first-impressions and seemed quite impressed with its power. At the time we were eager to try Pro-R for ourselves and have released several videos showing how to use Pro-R since it was released in November 2016.
FabFilter Pro-R maybe three years old, but it’s as good now as it was when it launched three years ago. If you have yet to try Pro-R for yourself then you are missing out.
Review Of FabFilter Pro-R
Check out our video review of FabFilter Pro-R. We were so impressed with how it sounds and how easy it is to use that we awarded it with a coveted Expert’s Choice Award.
How Does FabFilter Pro-R Differ To Other Reverb Plug-ins?
FabFilter Pro-R isn’t just another Reverb plug-in. Their initial teaser video gave us a small glimpse of a control called The Space knob that FabFilter said smoothly combines room model and decay times. A second control we saw in the teaser is a feature called The Decay Rate EQ that turned out to be one of FabFilter Pro-R’s strong suits.
