Here’s a shortcut for quickly renaming multiple clips on the same track without touching the mouse.
I often have dozens of short VO’s that I need to rename and this has sped up the process significantly.
Rather than using the mouse to select the clip, double click, and then rename, I’ll tab to the beginning of the clip (make sure tab to transient is turned off), SHIFT+TAB to select the clip, then SHIFT+COMMAND+R to rename the clip and hit enter.
Tab twice to move to the next clip and repeat.
You can also SHIFT+TAB to select the clip, SHIFT+OPTION+3 to consolidate any clip gain changes etc. and then rename.
