A lot of work goes into the sound mixes for the content we view on a day to day basis. Most viewers take it for granted that things sound the way they do, but usually a team of people have spent a lot of time and effort making sure that all of the sound effects, foley, dialogue and music is in place and carefully crafted and balanced to create a compelling mix. Also, while a lot of day to day TV content is still mixed in stereo, for higher budget productions such as the ones we watch on the major streaming platforms, most of the content is at least mixed in 5.1 or, very often, Dolby Atmos.

With all of this work and effort going into the mixes for our favourite shows, we thought it would be interesting to conduct a survey on how people actually listen to these mixes at home. It's a simple poll and we know we can't cover every possible answer to suit every scenario so choose the one that best fits you.
