Wavesfactory Equalizer Released

Wavesfactory, the developer behind plugins such as Trackspacer, Echo Cat, and Spectre, has recently announced the release of their latest offering, Equalizer. We have the details.

At the heart of Equalizer is its advanced analysis capability, which dissects the incoming audio signal into 32 distinct frequency bands. Each band can then be independently boosted or attenuated to achieve a consistent volume across the spectrum. Users have the flexibility to select specific frequency ranges to modify, applying cuts or boosts as a percentage of the overall spectrum. Additionally, the plugin allows for adjustments to the attack and release parameters, enabling fine-tuning of the reaction time.

The tilt function further enhances control, allowing users to favour low or high-end content during the shaping process. Furthermore, the M/S processing capability allows for precise application of the effect to the mid or side elements of the audio.

Zero Latency

Equalizer distinguishes itself by delivering real-time processing with zero latency, ensuring transparent results without any audible artifacts or compromises. Its name aptly represents its core philosophy of achieving a balanced and pleasing sound by equalizing all frequencies seamlessly.

This powerful tool excels in addressing common audio issues encountered during the mixing process. It can reduce muddiness, eliminate digital harshness, and infuse brightness into lacklustre tracks. By effortlessly cleaning up the mix, Equalizer provides a polished and cohesive result that allows all elements to blend harmoniously.

Track, Bus, Master..Or Live

Suitable for use on individual instruments, group busses, or even on the master bus, Equalizer's zero-latency processing also makes it suitable for live applications. Whether you're working on a complex mix or in a live performance setting, this plugin promises to enhance your sonic landscape with precision and ease..

Wavesfactory Equalizer – At A Glance

  • Cut: cut the effect as a percentage

  • Boost: boost the effect as a percentage

  • Attack/Release: change the reaction times of the algorithm in milliseconds

  • Amount: sets the amount of effect applied by effectively changing the gain of each band.

  • M/S: applies the effect on the mid channel, side channel or anything in between

  • Tilt: favour the high or low frequencies.

  • Mix: control the dry and wet signals with a single knob offering uncomplicated parallel processing.

  • Auto Gain: automatic compensation of any signal changes.

  • Low/High cut filters: let you specify a range of action in the frequency spectrum.

  • User drawable per-band amount: draw on the spectrum to apply more or less of the effect.

  • Delta signals for cut and boost separately: the plugin will output the difference between the EQ signal and the dry signal, allowing the user to listen to what the plugin thinks that needs to be cut or what needs to be added.
