How To Route Multiple Audio Sources On Your Mac

In this video Julian Rodgers explains the issue which had always made life difficult while trying to use a 2 channel USB interface and his laptop when trying to make screen capture videos away from the studio. Rogue Amoeba Loopback and an Editors Keys USB microphone were the answer, enabling him to access more than two channels so he could capture stereo audio and a voiceover to discrete audio tracks.

What Is Rogue Amoeba Loopback?

Rogue Amoeba Loopback is an application which makes it easy to route audio between apps and devices on your mac using an intuitive graphical interface. With Loopback you can pull audio from multiple sources into one virtual device. Simply add the applications and physical audio devices you want to include to the Sources column to get started.

You can add as many output channels as needed, then configure your routing with easy and powerful virtual wiring.

Loopback uses Pass-Thru devices which let you pass audio directly from one application to another, with almost no configuration required.
