PROCESS.AUDIO Spicerack Saturation Plugin Released

PROCESS.AUDIO, the software division of PureMix.net, has announced the release of Spicerack, a distortion/saturation plugin which promises to ‘pick up where other saturation plugins left off’.

Spicerack features five different flavours of harmonic distortion to saturate, distort, shape or texturize your sounds. Those five algorithms provide a wide colour palette which can be blended in parallel courtesy of the true linear phase technology developed for Sugar for added colour without unwanted artefacts.

With a striking and easy to navigate interface Spicerack was designed to dial-in saturation as quickly as possible. Auto Gain Compensation and Calibration features make for a smooth Drive knob ranging from subtle saturation to aggressive distortion with no level jumps.

Other Spicerack key features include Console Remote, a unique protocol allowing interplugin communication and remote control, and a very creative audio Gate circuit that helps morph Spicerack’s distortion effects.

Spicerack Key Features:

Spicerack EQ

  • 5 mastering grade, phase accurate distortion algorithms:

    • Drive is inspired from the Sugar plug-in. This is a modern, yet effective distortion.

    • Tube is modeled after AU7 tubes and recreates its harmonic content. This emulation has a rather dark tone and is perfect to give your tune an analog / vintage sound.

    • Amp is modeled after renowned high-gain guitar amps with several gain stages. It has a tendency to saturate the medium - high frequencies which can be useful to cut through a mix.

    • Lo-fi will down sample and bit crush your sound.

    • Fuzz is modeled after well-knwon Fuzz pedals and tends to saturate the low frequencies of your signal.

  • Auto gain compensation for perfect gain staging

  • Intuitive vertical linear phase EQ with innovative GUI

    • 1 high-pass filter with a slope varying from 12 to 48db/Oct with adjustable Q

    • 1 low-pass filter with a slope varying from 12 to 48db/Oct with adjustable Q

    • 1 bell filter with adjustable Q

  • Console Remote interface to control all instances from one single instance

  • Gate control on the distorted signal path

  • Mid/Side processing
