PreSonus Revelator io24 Audio Interface - Tested

In this video for Production Expert, Brent March tests the Revelator io24, PreSonus' newest audio and midi interface with DSP power, aimed at live streaming, podcasting, and of course, recording.

The Presonus Revelator io24 USB-C powered audio interface has been created with musicians, streamers and podcasters in mind. Packed with inputs for XLR and 1/4" jacks, the io24 has a phantom power switch and features XMAX-L mic preamps with up to 60dB of gain, and a resolution of 24-bit and 96kHz. Instrument and line inputs let you connect all of your gear, and the stereo link option provides even more flexibility.

DSP Powered

The Revelator io24 has internal DSP with different features, including a loopback mixer offering two stereo loopback channels. This is an ideal feature for streamers and podcasters who want to feed multiple sound sources. The stream mix mode also makes it easy to mix the input signals, effects, and loop channels.

The onboard mixing and creative effects include the Fat Channel from the StudioLive series - a high-pass filter, gate, three compressors, EQs, and a limiter. The creative side features a doubler, vocoder, ring modulator, comb filter, detuner, delay, and reverb. You can apply them instantly and recall mix and effects settings from the device as a preset. In addition, each channel has a preset dedication button on the front panel.

The Revelator io24 offers many features for €199 and helpful mixing tools, including Universal Control Software and Studio One Artist, Studio Magic Bundle, and Ableton Live Lite. Anyone who purchases the Revelator io24 before August 31st 2021 will get the Ampire amp and effect plugin for free.
