What Is T-Racks EQ-81

T-Racks is host for IK’s extensive range of processors, what is on offer here is a free module for T-Racks which can be run as a plugin inside your DAW.

The Neve 1081 is a mic/line module with 4 band EQ from the classic Neve period. Released in 1972 it offered a more flexible EQ than the 1073 with an additional midrange band and switchable bell filters in t he high and low bands. As well as the EQ this plugin offers modelling of the transformer stage and with input and output controls you can experiment with overdriving this for extra colour and squash.

How Do I Get This Plug-in?

We prefer to feature free plugins which are simple and straightforward to install. Because we test all our free plugins, including the download procedure. If it’s too complicated they don’t make it on to the site.

This is straightforward, but is quite a lengthy process as it involves registering, installing the IK product manager software and then installing T-Racks (2.8GB!) including all of its unregistered modules to access the EQ-81. You have been warned…

However I did it and after going into my Pro Tools plugin folder and moving all of the unregistered plugins to my unused plugins folder I’m left with a single, free Neve EQ plugin. Here are the download instructions:
