Harman Professional Solutions To Acquire FLUX:: Software Engineering

HARMAN Professional Solutions, known for their expertise in audio, lighting, and video technologies, has announced its intention to acquire FLUX:: Software Engineering, a company recognised for its innovative work in immersive audio production and audio plug-in design. This acquisition aims to broaden HARMAN's product range, integrating FLUX::'s advanced immersive technology and fostering future innovations through a collaborative effort between FLUX::’s specialists and HARMAN’s experienced hardware and software engineers.

Brian Divine, President of HARMAN Professional Solutions, emphasised the importance of this acquisition in reinforcing HARMAN's dedication to providing outstanding immersive experiences in both live and recorded productions. HARMAN plans to incorporate FLUX::'s foundational technology to deliver a comprehensive product suite, enhancing the creative capabilities of artists, designers, and engineers.

Founded in France in 2006 by Gaël Martinet, a sound recording engineer with considerable experience, FLUX:: specialises in creating user-friendly and innovative audio software tools. Their portfolio includes nearly 20 products widely recognised and used in various professional settings.

Notable FLUX:: products include SPAT Revolution, an advanced immersive mixing tool, and FLUX:: Analyzer, a versatile real-time analysis system for detailed audio analysis. The FLUX:: Processing suite offers a range of plugins for channel strips, equalisers, and dynamics processing, among others.

Martinet expressed optimism regarding the integration of FLUX:: technology with HARMAN's renowned brands, foreseeing new possibilities in both touring and installed audio markets, especially with the growing importance of spatial audio.
