We have been getting information on the imminent demise of Gobbler, the plugin subscription service. We have the details.

An email was sent by Slate to user of Gobbler powered plans;

"Move to the Slate Digital subscription platform NOW to continue access to your subscription.

Following up on our last email, Gobbler have confirmed they are closing their platform and terminating support for Slate Digital All Access Pass and Everything Bundle subscriptions on Tuesday, October 31st.

Depending on your subscription plan, you could lose access to your Slate Digital plug-ins immediately.

To ensure continued access to your subscription, and ongoing new plug-ins and offers, you need to transfer your subscription account to our Slate Digital platform."

Then followed some confusion about this email, however, a copy of an email proporting to be from a Gobbler employee was posted on Gearspace.

Hello Roger,

Thank you for contacting us.

I am sorry to inform you that Slate Digital is not being deceitful. Unfortunately, the Gobbler Marketplace will be closing next week.

Consequently, your Slate Digital and Relab Development "Annual Billed Monthly " subscriptions have now been set up, by us on the back-end, to terminate at the end of their current billing cycles, on 11/06/23 and 11/25/23 respectively.

Your "All Access Pass" and "Reverb Suite" licenses will remain active, so you will be able to keep using your plug-ins until then. But your subscriptions will not renew and you will no longer be charged by Gobbler.

Regrettably, I have little information about the migration process, so please contact Slate Digital to get information on how to purchase a new "All Access Pass" on their platform.

Click the "Submit A Request" button at the top of the page to get to their Customer Support ticket form to get in touch with their customer support team directly.
One of their agent will get back to you to assist and provide all pertinent information about migrating to the Slate Digital platform.

Relab Development has not reached out to us yet to let us know if they will contact their subscription customers to discuss "after-Gobbler" options.

Although we can’t verify this email, we had been receiving our own information from reliable sources earlier this week.

The platform has previously hosted brands like Softube, Eventide, SSL, McDSP and more.

No official notification has been posted on the Gobbler website or any of their social channels, although these have been dormant for some months. Our advice is to contact them or the developer of software you previously purchased or rented via Gobbler.
