What Is Warmy EP1A?

EQP1A is a plugin version of Warm Audio’s popular EQP-WA hardware unit, which is in turn an affordable version of the revered Pultec equaliser. The first version of this plugin was remarkably polished for a free plugin and version 2 has been, as Kiive put it:

“completely remodelled including all new DSP our new tool bar menu and so much more tube goodness!”

In practice what you get is a more streamlined UI with the toolbar repositioned to the top and reduced in size. The EQ still does everything a Pultec should, with a non-fatiguing top end for adding some sparkle and the interactivity you’d expect from the low end boost and attenuate controls.
