With over 70 new features in Studio One 4.5 it’s easy to miss some of the smaller things that can really help improve your workflow.

During a recent call with top mixer and producer James Reynolds he exclaimed ‘PreSonus has given me the spring loaded folders I’ve been asking for and it’s one of my favourite new features!”

We asked him to show us what he meant and lo and behold there’s a small but extremely useful new feature that gives spring loaded plugin lists when opening them from the track inspector. Watch the video to see what we mean.

To set this up you need to go to the new plugin options in advanced settings in Preferences, see it in the video. Set it to Basic and then you’ll find you have spring loaded plugin menus if you prefer them. Some may prefer the other option, hence it being a preference setting… the clue is in the name. ;)
