See Revoice Pro Tighten Up a Six Piece Horn Section With Just a Few Simple Mouse Clicks

Quantizing audio to the grid is nothing particularly new. Most modern DAWs include built-in time stretching/compression algorithms for this sort of task. What is rarer and surely more musical, is the ability to specify an audio track as a timing reference instead of an absolute grid. Even more unusual is the ability to take this timing information and transfer it to other (multiple) audio files in a single step.

In this free video tutorial, brought to you with the support of Synchro Arts, you will see how simple it is to do just this, using their Audio Performance Transfer (APT) technology in Revoice Pro.

In this example, an alto sax performance is used as the timing basis for a section part played by alto sax, tenor sax, trumpeter, and trombone. A single process is used to transfer the timing from the alto sax to the three other tracks. A  counter line played by baritone sax and bass trombone is quickly time aligned with a second process.

The use of Process Control Groups to playback combinations of the various tracks makes managing ensembles like this simple. Learn more about Revoice Pro and try out a demo.
