Austrian microphone manufacturer LEWITT announces 2 small diaphragm new condenser microphones ideal for home studios, the LCT 040 MATCH and LCT 140 AIR priced at $99 and $149 respectively.

The LCT 040 MATCH is a single pencil mic that will also be available as a stereo pair package. The LCT 140 AIR has been created to bring new heights of precision to recording engineers at every level.

The LEWITT LCT range have been designed to combine innovation with hard-wearing Austrian craftsmanship. The outcome is a range of small and large-diaphragm condenser and tube microphones offering an alternative to older, traditional designs. With these 2 new mics now for the first time, that same level of LEWITT quality will be available to home studio owners wanting to record acoustic instruments without blowing the budget.

The LCT 040 MATCH has been designed to offer the definition and pinpoint accuracy for which the celebrated LCT range is known, but with a new stripped-back, ergonomic design for maximum positioning flexibility even in the most restricted spaces. The custom-designed capsule has been optimised with instant transient response for the natural qualities of acoustic instruments; ranging from acoustic guitars to drums and strings, every moment is captured in fine, crisp detail, with pleasant high-end.

The new LCT 140 AIR, lists amongst its features, exceptional off-axis sound suppression, pre-attenuation and low-cut filter. The SOUND toggle, which allows users to switch between a linear response or a nuanced, ‘airy’ mode for open, more characterful recordings.
