Our friends at pureMix recently announced the Lifeboats Series in which one track is mixed by six different people. That way the differences between the results are purely differences in the mixing, It’s the same track! We loved the idea and it seems so did you as this has been a very popular series.

When we first publicised this series the lineup was:

• Episode 1 Fab Dupont mixes Will Knox’s song in Cubase using only the built in plugins.

• Episode 2 Chris Lord Alge mixes the same track using his SSL console

• Episode 3 Mick Guzauski completes his mix using his Avid S6

The much anticipated 4th episode from Andrew Scheps video is now available. Episodes 5&6 with special guest mixers are soon to be announced so check back at puremix.net soon.
