With Christmas out of the way you might be wondering what will get you through the dark winter months. If you like synthesizers then an inexpensive, tiny monosynth with a massive sound might be just the thing.

Modal are well known for big, powerful polysynths like the 8 voice, fully analogue 008 or the equally impressive 12 voice 002. The release of Skulpt, a 4 voice – 32 oscillator virtual analogue synthesiser which combines a compact form factor with a huge complement of oscillators and fully morphable waveforms was a big success, sharing some of the Modal DNA of its bigger cousins, and was funded by Kickstarter. This Kickstarter campaign was very successful. It achieved its funding target very quickly and through the direct connection with users it provided feedback and feature requests which found their way into the final production model.

Because of the success of the Kickstarter model with Skulpt, Modal have launched a kickstarter for their next model, the Craft Synth v2 - a monophonic Wavetable synth which while small is very powerful. The Craft Synth v2 Kickstarter campaign runs until the 9th January 2019.
