Our prolific friends at Antelope Audio are showing a new product at NAMM 2018. EDGE Strip pairs its DISCRETE MP Discrete Dual Ultra-Linear Microphone Preamp with the already-available, EDGE modelling microphone, for which the all-new, all-analogue dual-input microphone preamplifier itself is specifically designed.

Antelope Audio designed DISCRETE MP to perfectly match the frequency response of the EDGE, a large-diaphragm modelling microphone featuring dual edge- terminated capsules for a smooth/natural sound. The EDGE Strip-bundled DISCRETE MP dual-input microphone preamplifier uses the same transistor schematic as the DISCRETE 4 and the DISCRETE 8 Interfaces

Emulations Of Classic Studio Mics

The EDGE Strip bundle comes with a package of microphone emulations, featuring classic microphones such as the U47FET, U87, U67 and C800G, with more classic mics available soon. Preamp emulations are also included in the package, together with the STAY-LEVIN compressor.
