Logic Pro’s new QuickSampler based drag and drop functions open a world of possibilities, including the creation of backup vocal parts. By creating instruments comprised of short phrases, rhythmic chopped vocals are easily created via simple MIDI triggering. 

In this video, I record a short phrase and explore two different ways to create backup vocal phrases using Logic’s drag and drop function in conjunction with QuickSampler. The first is fairly straightforward. The second is a little more elaborate and introduces a more complex set of tonal variations.
