This often leads to a lifestyle where health and well-being can unintentionally take a backseat. Our recent survey of audio professionals shows this is the case, with many neglecting their health.

Recognising this, we've put together a special 12-day plan, tailored specifically for those of us who spend our days (and often nights) in the studio.

Each day, we'll be sharing practical and easy-to-implement tips that focus on four key areas: exercise, mindfulness, diet, and sleep. These tips are designed to fit seamlessly into your busy schedule, offering ways to enhance your well-being without disrupting your creative flow.

Whether you're a seasoned audio engineer, a music producer, or someone who's just started their journey in the world of studio recording, this plan is for you. So, let's embark on this 12-day journey together, making small, meaningful changes towards a healthier studio life. 

Stay Flexible and Focused: The Power of Stretching for Studio Professionals

Spending hours in the studio, whether you're mixing tracks or editing videos, can take a toll on your body. Muscle stiffness and discomfort are common, often leading to decreased productivity and potential long-term health issues. Incorporating a simple, 5-minute stretching routine into your studio sessions can make a world of difference. This article introduces stretches tailored for audio professionals, focusing on the most affected areas: the neck, shoulders, and back.

First, let's explore the benefits of regular stretching. Improved flexibility is the most obvious advantage. Flexibility aids in reducing the risk of injuries, which can occur even in seemingly sedentary studio environments. If your body is all tight and you get up out of the producer chair to reach around behind a rack, you might find you put your neck or back out. You can be in pain for days, it might even require a costly trip to the physio to get fixed.

Additionally, stretching enhances blood circulation, which is crucial for maintaining energy levels and mental alertness – both vital for creative and technical work in the studio.

Some Simple Stretches

Now, onto the stretches.
