In all the excitement about the Android version of the new Avid Control app and the new S1 & S4 control surfaces, it seems that most people have missed a really cool new VCA Spill feature in the latest release of EuControl - Avid’s control surface software package, when just using a “fader pack”, such as the legacy Artist Mix or the new S1.

Avid Are On A Roll

The introduction of this new feature is yet another sign that Avid is on a roll this year in terms of development - two new control surfaces (the S4 and S1), new Avid Control App on both iOS and Android, the long-awaited voice capacity expansion in Pro Tools Ultimate standalone software and of course the Avid Video Engine refinements. It’s great to see Avid driving forward with their software and hardware.
