Avid Link And AvidPlay Update Releases Announced At NAMM 2020

Avid has released updates for both Avid Link and Avid Play to coincide with the first day of NAMM 2020. We have all the details on what is in the updates.

Avid Link

Avid have shared with us that they now have more than 520,000 unique users, with over 260,000 public profiles with around 3000 being added each day.

With the new version of Avid Link, you will now be able to endorse traders by going into their profiles and adding an endorsement.

In the Product section now every product that comes with a purchase of Pro Tools or purchases from the Marketplace will now appear in the Products tab in Avid Link. You will be able to install and authorise all your products from within Avid Link, this includes the additional products that come with Pro Tools like Sample Loops.

AvidPlay Now Distributes To Apple Music

For artists, musicians, and creators, AvidPlay offers a one-stop service to distribute your music to Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Prime Music, and other major streaming services around the world. As of January 16th 2020. AvidPlay now offers Unlimited distribution plans, distribution to Apple Music and TikTok, and enables you to promote featured artists and collaborators on your tracks.

The user interface in AvidPlay has also received a refresh with the aim of making it easier to use. You will also be able to share social links for your music all within the AvidPlay section of Avid Link. When someone receives one of these links they can choose which streaming service they want to listen to your music on.

Avid has made it easier to split the earning with bandmates, you can add their PayPal accounts even before you release the track or the album and set the splits to the way you want them to be. You can also promote featured artists on your tracks and if you don’t already have them Avid can provide you free ISRC and EAN/UPC codes for each release.

AvidPlay Now Has Unlimited And Lifetime Plans

As well as the single track for $4.99 per annum and an album (from 2 to 20 different tracks) for $19.99 per annum, which have been available since AvidPlay was launched in July 2019, Avid have now added 3 more plans…

  • Unlimited (1 Artist, unlimited Tracks and Albums) Annual Subscription - $24.99

  • 1 Single Lifetime (1 Artist, 1 Track) One-Time Payment - $9.99

  • 1 Album Lifetime (1 Artist, up to 20 Tracks) One-Time Payment - $49.99
