Nested Folder Tracks In Pro Tools - Free Tutorial

See this content in the original post

Continuing this series of free Pro Tools video tutorials on Folder Tracks, brought to you with the support of Avid, Julian Rodgers looks at some of the ways you can manage the potential confusion that can happen when you start putting folder tracks inside other folder tracks, otherwise known as nesting.

Nesting Folder Tracks

Routing tracks or Basic Folder tracks can be nested within other folder tracks. In this way is it possible to navigate and manage extremely large sessions easily. However, like anything new this can take a little getting used to. To reduce the potential for overload when working with a complex session using deep nesting folder strictures, Julian uses an example session containing only Folder Tracks to make the Folder layers as easy to see as possible.

The Tracks sidebar has gained a new significance in Pro Tools as it is by far the easiest way to comprehend the nesting relationship between Folders. See how much potential nesting Folder Tracks has for session management in this free tutorial.
