In this week's Friday Free Plug-in, we are featuring Celestial From Acustica which is free until February the 14th.

What Is Celestial?

While they describe it as “Based on a modern hardware machine built in the UK and used by both mixing and mastering engineers” it’s pretty obvious exactly which recently released processor this is a plug-in version of. Considering Acustica are well known for the accuracy of their emulations, even if this makes their plugins bigger and greedier than some of the alternatives a free version of this hardware is a welcome thing indeed!

Celestial comes in two flavours, Mix and Mastering and with two versions of each - full fat and low latency.

How Do I Get This Plug-in?

Go to the Acustica website and sign up for or log in to your user account. Download Aquarius, the Acustica download manager. Find Celestial in Aquarius and hit install. Aquarius asked me to enter my computer password into the security tab which popped up during install. I declined and was still able to install the plug-in. This plug-in doesn't require an iLok or any authorisation.

Celestial is availble for Mac and windows in AAX, AU and VST.
