How To Put A Pro Tools Clip Back In The Right Place If It Gets Moved - Explained In Under A Minute

In a new format we are producing videos offering tips and solutions to common problems in under a minute. In this free video tutorial we show you how easy it is to put a clip back in the right place if you accidentally move it using Spot To Original Timestamp.

Using Spot Mode

For musicians Spot mode is the least used edit mode, it’s really useful in post production but for most people creating or mixing music in Pro Tools it’s not somewhere they often go - Unless they move a clip from its original position and want to put it back.

Spot mode allows you to type in the precise position to which you want to move your clip. Access it by clicking Spot in the top left of the Edit window or by hitting F3.
