M-Audio a brand that was owned by Avid but now is part of the InMusic brand, now include Pro Tools First with all of their M-Track C-Series Audio/MIDI interfaces, as well as their CTRL, Code, Oxygen, Hammer and Keystation USB/MIDI keyboard controllers.

Not Just Pro Tools First - There Is More

With their C-Series line of audio interfaces, as well as Pro Tools First, they include the Eleven Lite plug-in, with over 20 guitar amp and effect models, as well as the multi-timbral workstation X-Pand!2, Mini-Grand their grand piano emulation VI and Strike, their drum instrument and arranger.

When it comes to their range of keyboard controllers they have added compatibility with Pro Tools First and include Velvet, with emulations of electric pianos from the 60s and 70s in one virtual instrument. There is compatibility with Hybrid 3, their virtual synth that enables users to manipulate virtual analog sounds, Loom, an additive synth for creating lush sounds and textures, and also with Vacuum Pro, a polyphonic analog synth with a vacuum tube modeling circuit.

It is an interesting move to bundle the free version of Pro Tools - Pro Tools First with the M-Audio ranges of interfaces and keyboard controllers, and it makes the combination of the M-Audio hardware with the AIR Music Tech software together with Pro Tools First, an interesting combination for people looking for a good 'starter' setup.
