This free video tutorial is the third and final part of a series for Pro Tools Expert. Technical Editor James Ivey talks with Grammy-nominated and Pensado Award-winning recording and mix engineer Steve Genewick about his mix template and mix session setup. 

In this video, Steve starts by importing his mix template session into the working session including the Pro Tools Window Configurations which allows him to mix with or without his stereo buss plug-ins showing on the second screen of his rig.  

Steve goes on to talk about the way he uses colour in his sessions and why he uses Group colours rather than colourising individual tracks. 

This aim of this series is to show you that there are a great many ways to use Pro Tools to mix a song or music track. Take from this what you will and add it to your workflow, I know I have.
