Following the recent announcement that Pro Tools and Pro Tools Ultimate users with a current upgrade plan will get the UVI Falcon worth $349, the Falcon Factory Sounds and the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6GB sound pack. In addition, Pro Tools First users will get the UVI Workstation 3 and the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6GB sound pack.

In this article we are going share what we think about the addition of these UVI products to Pro Tools and also give you a taste of all the extra UVI sound libraries that you can buy to get even more out of these bundled UVI products.

What We Think About The Addition Of UVI Products Into Pro Tools

This is an excellent addition to Pro Tools and its great news that it’s not just for Pro Tools and Pro Tools Ultimate users that Avid has included Pro Tools First users too in this expansion to Pro Tools.

With UVI Falcon and then the value of the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6GB sound pack with a combined value of $498, this is another great reason to keep your Pro Tools upgrade plan up to date. In addition to the $750 worth of loyalty reward products Avid already offer the addition of Falcon now takes this package to over $1,200 worth of free products for Pro Tools and Pro Tools Ultimate users if you keep your upgrade plan iup to date for $99 per year for Pro Tools Vanilla users and $399 for Pro Tools Ultimate users.

What This Brings The Pro Tools Audio Post Community

As an audio post-production user of Pro Tools it’s good to see that there are some post oriented products from UVI that I can add to Falcon. I have already had a play with their new foley instrument - Walker and if you are not in a position to use a foley artist then this new product from UVI looks very interesting and has a lot going for it especially at the price.

What This Brings To The Pro Tools Music Production Community

From a Pro Tools music producer’s point of view this is fantastic news! Pro Tools alone has been shipped with pretty much the same set of stock libraries for years, let’s be honest here, Xpand!2 has been looking a bit long in the tooth for a number of years. For Pro Tools First users, only Xpand!2 is included. If you want Boom, DB-33, Vacuum, Mini Grand and Structure Free then you need to buy the First Air Instrument Bundle from the Avid Marketplace. But with this UVI bundle Pro Tools First users will now get UVI Workstation and the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6GB sound pack absolutely free.

And There’s More…

If you want more sounds then the good news is that all you need to do is turn to the Avid Marketplace where you will find more UVI sound libraries available to buy that will expand the sound palettes at your disposal with either the UVI Workstation 3 or the UVI Falcon.

When Will I Find The UVI Products In My Avid Master Account?

It is our understanding is that the UVI Falcon and the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6 GB Sound Pack will be deposited in users accounts over the course of the next 7 days or so.

Please don’t panic if you check your Avid account and they aren’t there yet, be patience. Avid has reassured us that they will get there but they expect it to take a week to get it all done. However, we understand that customers purchasing new perpetual or subscription licenses should get their UVI products immediately.
