Clip Groups

Clip groups are, as the name suggests, a group of clips. They are flexible way of putting multiple clips in a container for easy manipulation.

Clip groups can be created from audio clips, MIDI clips or even other clip groups. They can be edited and copied freely and offer far less commitment than alternative workflows such as consolidating clips.

Essential Clip Group Shortcuts

  • Create Clip Group - CMD+Opt+G/Ctrl+Alt+G

  • Ungroup Clip Group - CMD+Opt+U/Ctrl+Alt+U

  • Regroup Clip Group - CMD+Opt+R/Ctrl+Alt+R

The video covers creating clip groups for three alternative reasons as well as the different Icons used to denote Audio Clip Groups, MIDI Clip Groups, Mixed Clip Groups and Separated Clip Groups. It demonstrates the use of Clip Gain across a multitrack Clip Group and the issues which can arise when using AudioSuite on a multitrack Clip Group.
