Do You Want Hands-On Control Of Avid Amps And Stomps Via A MIDI Keyboard? Find Out How In Our New Expert Tutorial

In this premium video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers demonstrates how easy it is to get hands on control of Eleven and the Avid stompbox plug-ins using a standard MIDI controller keyboard.

Use Two Hands To Control Plug-ins

Using two hands is really helpful when using plug-ins which emulate analogue equipment whose controls interact with each other. A particularly good example is the tone stack of guitar amps, passive EQs interact and using them with one hand is something I've found frustrating in the past as changing one control can change the effect of another. It's a fact that it is very difficult to use two hands to control an amp while playing a guitar, actually it's pretty inconvenient using one hand and for this reason many people find it useful to have someone else change the controls while the player plays and listens.

The re-amp style workflow of plug-ins makes dialling in tones much more convenient but this makes the frustration of only using one hand all the more of an issue. Fix that with this technique.
