In this week's Podcast, there is an opportunity to get an exclusive 35% off Exponential Audio stereo reverbs, but you have to listen to the podcast to get the discount code!

Whilst we are talking about Exponential Audio, there is a clever little trick on making small rooms using Exponential Audio reverbs. Michael has produced a great tutorial using Phoenixverb but what Michael shows will work with all the Exponential Audio reverb plug-ins. What is surprising is that it isn’t all about early reflections The reverb engine itself provides a complementary set of reflections but the trick is to turn reverb time to a minimum. But there is a lot more in Michael’s comprehensive tutorial, so do check it out

Mike, Julian and Alan discuss Netflix's changes to their loudness specs, they speculate on the contents of the new release of RX7, they answer your questions, share community feedback, and their finds of the week.

Source Connect Now

As you may know, we are spread out around the UK & Europe when we record the podcast. In the past, we have used a variety of internet-based solutions so we could hear each other.  We have settled on Source Connect Now which gives us ISDN equivalent quality audio using a Chrome browser, no software to install. You can get a free account from Source Elements.

Find Of The Week

  • Mike - iZotope RX7 is on the way. They have announced that soon we will be able to reshape the intonation of a dialogue performance, rebalance musical elements in a mix, isolate or remove vocals from a song—and all in multi-channel audio up to Dolby Atmos 7.1.2.

  • Alan - Secondhand RME Babyface bought on eBay, to bring RME reliability and sound quality to my mobile rig. A huge difference in the depth of the sound, far richer than the MOTU it replaces and far far more reliable.

  • Julian - Fuzzmeasure audio measurement and analysis software
