With the recent release of Studio One 4 with its new chord track in this premium video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers looks at the often overlooked chord ruler in Pro Tools, which while lacking the audio workflow and less well specified for MIDI use, is still a useful feature.

Pro Tools has the capability to interpret MIDI and extract chord data, these chords can be extracted from a selection of MIDI clips and these chords, once on the chords ruler can be viewed either in the edit window, MIDI editor or can be incorporated into the score editor and exported to Sibelius
