In this free video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers demonstrates using the Page Up and Down Keys to navigate the Pro Tools Edit and Mix Windows. Page Up or Down to move vertically in screen-sized jumps and add Alt/Option to scroll horizontally.

Alternative to Using the Mouse

Many people use the mouse to scroll up and down, adding shift to scroll left and right. This is a really effective way of working but for years I didn't use it because of teaching in a lab full of old style white, wired Apple optical mice, the ones with the little grey ball. When they get dirty these are impossible to use reliably and I quickly settled on page up and down as an effective alternative. I still use it now some of the time as instead of scrolling it jumps in whole page increments. Try it. You might prefer it.
