These masterclasses, hosted by Mark Abrams, are aimed at musicians and producers looking to extend the breadth and depth of their knowledge of Pro Tools for MIDI and audio production.

Producing with MIDI in Pro Tools

Producing with MIDI in Pro Tools is designed for musicians and producers who want to unlock the creative potential of Pro Tools. Over the course of four weeks, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the powerful MIDI editor and tools built into Pro Tools. You’ll be guided through a comprehensive curriculum of the MIDI features inside of Pro Tools working with stems from The Arrows, recorded by Fab Dupont.

You can expect to walk away from this masterclass with a thorough knowledge of all of Pro Tools’ compositional tools and features that can improve your MIDI performances and help you to make more music.

Advanced Editing in Pro Tools

This course is designed for intermediate to advanced Pro Tools users who want to learn how to use advanced editing features to speed up their recording and production process.

Students will be given instruction and assignments to reinvigorate their workflow in both common tasks as well as creative editing to enhance recorded performances.

Using features such as Strip Silence, Playlist Comping, Beat Detective, Elastic Audio, Groove Templates and more you'll gain a deeper understanding of the Pro Tools editing environment.

This online course is project based, meaning you will be working with a real world production that grows from the writing session through to the final production, ready to be mixed.

In week 1, students will begin by working with the band's original writing demo, recorded in their practice space. By the end of week 4, you will have a completely edited session with the final studio takes that is a polished production ready to be mixed.
