Free Tutorial - How To Sit A Vocal In A Mix Using Renaissance Vox (RVox) By Waves

See this content in the original post

In this free video tutorial, you will learn how to use one of Dan Cooper's all-time favourite compressor plug-ins - Renaissance Vox, name RVox for short, by Waves.

Compressor plug-ins do not come simpler than this. Don't be put off by the featureless GUI - you will hear from the examples in this tutorial that RVox produces very transparent compression on melodic tracks such as vocals and stringed instruments.

When compression is applied in RVox the overall level increases, this can make setting the correct amount of compression difficult as the level increase can be misleading to the ear. In this video, Dan shares a makeshift auto output level control trick that gets around this using the shift key on the keyboard.
