Our friends at Focusrite have just informed us that they are ending their very popular offer to include an Avid DigiLink license with all purchases of new Focusrite Red 4Pre  and Red 8Pre audio interfaces.

Focusrite recommends that people intending to take advantage of this offer to buy their Red 4Pre or Red 8Pre units before the DigiLink I/O License offer ends on April 14th 2017.

Together with Avid, Focusrite created a simpler way for customers to combine Red 4Pre and Red 8Pre with Pro Tools HD 12.6 and upwards. If you buy and register a Red 4Pre or Red 8Pre before 14th of April 2017, a Pro Tools DigiLink I/O Licence can be placed on their iLok free of charge.

• To download the license, customers simply:
• Register their Red 4Pre or Red 8Pre interface
• Follow the link to the Avid website
• Sign in to their Avid Master Account or create an account
• Select their iLok account or create an account
• Sign in to their ilok.com account
• Deposit their Pro Tools | DigiLink I/O Licence

A word of caution is also added. Please note that once you register a Red 4Pre or Red 8Pre interface, you have four weeks to access your Pro Tools | DigiLink I/O License.

So if you are in the market for a new HD compatible interface with ThunderBolt this is the last opportunity to avoid paying for an Avid DigiLink license.
