Pro Tools Expert has the exclusive scoop on the new Headpop from Oblong, a groundbreaking studio product that combines studio headphones and pop shield in a single unified package. 

The brand behind Headpop, Oblong, will be starting crowdfunding via a Kickstarter campaign later in the year. Below are our initial thoughts on the Headpop.

Total Vocal Solution?

Not entirely, we've given some initial feedback on the beta and understand that Oblong are also working on a second version. This version will include a mount for an iPad so the vocalist can always see the words. Oblong take the whole issue of neck strain seriously and are working with medical professionals to make sure they are both comfortable and safe. Oblong say they will be making a quick release adaptor with a clip to hang the lyrics written on a sheet of paper instead for those without a tablet.
