The upcoming MB-7 Mixer version 3 and PatchWork version 2 plug-ins by Blue Cat Audio were my Find Of The Week on the Pro Tools Expert Podcast 255. I have been lucky enough to have been given a cheeky pre-release of both plug-ins. All I can say for now is that these plug-ins are brilliant... review to follow soon after launch. Blue Cat Audio have released some new information surrounding pricing and upgrade paths for current users of Blue Cat's MB-7 and Patchwork plug-ins.

Blue Cat's MB-7 v3 & PatchWork v2 Release Date

Both plug-ins are expected to be released by the end of February 2017. We're told that prices for both plug-ins should remain unchanged.

• PatchWork: 79 EUR or $99 (excl. VAT)
• MB-7 Mixer: 99 EUR or $129 (excl. VAT)

Upgrade Path For Existing Users

For existing customers, the upgrade path is the following:

• Customers who purchased or registered the plug-ins within 6 months prior to launch will receive the new versions for free.
• Customers who purchased these plug-ins before the 6 month window can upgrade to the new versions for a small fee (VAT excluded):
  • PatchWork: 15 EUR or $19
  • MB-7 Mixer: 19 EUR or $25
