In the first of a series of free video tutorials on the Avid Pro collection of plugins, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers looks at Pro Subharmonic. For an overview of plug in check Mike’s review. In this video Julian looks at the MIDI functionality of Pro Subharmonic. Instead of the sub bass synthesis responding to the audio input, when used in this way the plug in tracks the pitch of incoming midi data.

While in this example Julian demonstrates the plug in as a sub oscillator driven from a synth. This feature can be used to control the sub generated under an incoming audio signal using a separate MIDI track.
