In the third of this series on the Avid Pro collection of plug ins Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers focuses on how the easily overlooked solo button in Pro Compressor can help when adjusting attack and release times.

In this video Julian uses the solo button to set up a Pro Compressor to accentuate the attack of a bass guitar by using a long attack time and lots of compression and make-up gain to exaggerate the transient.
