We are very pleased to announce that the winner of the Audient iD22 in the Pro Tools Expert 2017 Christmas Prize Draw is Jean-Christophe Boulay from Québec, Canada.  JC says "After spending my teenage years in seedy practice studios taping bands, I decided to make sound recording and mixing my career. I studied in Montreal and after a few years of music recording and mixing work, I got an opportunity in audio post. The work was mainly for advertising clients and I did my classes in a big studio, starting as the proverbial tea boy and working my way up. Along the way, I got to work on smaller documentary and art film projects and loved the looser boundaries and opportunities to express myself through the work while solving bigger technical problems than advertising presented. 
I moved to Quebec City five years ago and got onto the team of a great studio in a smaller market that offered more varied opportunities. I now do a lot of sound design and mix work on television series, with projects ranging from cartoons and kids' shows to documentary and nature series. I still work on a lot of advertising and corporate projects with the odd documentary film mixed in as well".

"The Audient iD22 will open up new possibilities in the management of different signals in the studio. Its robust monitor control capabilities will prove very useful in mix referencing. 
The iD22's rugged construction will be of great value in opening up possibilities for a more flexible portable setup that will make recording out of the studio and much more streamlined operation.
