Project Volare is a six-week short film series and interactive guide to filmmaking created by Joel Guelzo & Jonah Guelzo. Watch, learn, interact, and win with Project Volare as they provide valuable learning resources for up-and-coming filmmakers. 

Watch an episode - Each Monday, starting today, for six weeks, each episode from the series will be released. Episode 1 was released last week and episode 2 has just been released.

Inside Project Volare - The Making Of Series

Learn filmmaking skills - Later in the week they will release an insider tips video, later in the same week providing instruction on directing, writing, sound, and acting.

The first Inside Project Volare was unlocked on November 15th and is entitled Mentally Preparing To Direct. When it’s time to perform it’s too late to prepare. A director’s preparation will be evident on set, and on the screen. Learn how mental preparation will improve the quality of your film.

Coming Up Later This Week

On November 20th they will unlock the 2nd Inside Project Volare entitled Post Sound: The Other 50%. Capturing sound is half the Sound Engineer’s battle. What’s the other half? In this tutorial video watch and learn how sound fx and quality mixing will enhance your film.

Interact with the filmmakers - This is where you can get involved by submitting questions each week about the art of filmmaking.

Why are they doing this project?

The Guelzo brothers are passionate about investing in upcoming filmmakers. Although they believe it is important to read books and hear instructions, they stress that we also need to see the practical applications of technique. That is why they have created and setup Project Volare, because they believe, as we do here at Pro Tools Expert, that visual learning is one of the best ways to learn, especially in filmmaking.
